Part 1: Sorcerers

Excerpt from Magical Theory of the Dimensional Cosmos: A primer for advanced Spell theory. 5th Edition Published 3786,

"There are three types of magic in the world, each originating from a different plane of existence.

The first comes from the Outer Planes, the origin of everything. Its exploration is outlawed and will not be discussed in detail in this or any other text. Suffice it to say that any magic originating from the outer planes is both dangerous and forbidden.

The second is Divine Magic and comes from the Heavenly Planes, the realm of the gods. Those chosen by one of the gods, Clerics, Paladins, or Druids, are given a piece of the divine to carry in their bodies and souls, tying them to their patron and the heavenly plane. Each god grants different flavors of magic pertaining to their individual nature and will be discussed in detail starting in chapter 2.

The third is Arcane Magic and comes from the material plane, where humans live out their lives. This is the magic practiced by Mages, Bards, and Sorcerers. Everything in the material plane holds some combination of the five elements, fire, water, wind, earth, and ice. The combination and manipulation of these elements allow Mages to craft their spells, the details of which will be discussed starting in chapter 12.

Here I will take only a moment to touch on the nature of Sorcerers. Humans who manifest arcane magic, not from disciplined study, but from their blood and bodies, driven by their emotions. Each Sorcerer holds the power of one of the elements in its raw and uncontrolled form. The power manifests at or around puberty, and due to the dangers associated with its existence, a Sorcerer's magic is either trained by Mages or sealed by the government..."

"...around puberty and DO to the dangers..." The word you want there is due.

Ah! Thank you very much. My fingers get to moving faster than my brain and I know what I MEAN but read over the mistakes. This is why I have an English teacher acting as an editor once it's all done. I'll change it now. Thanks again.

By the way, Beginning is misspelled in the title of this chapter.

Fixed! and though I will always appreciate the corrections I warn you for your sake that there will probably be a lot of them until I get a dedicated edit (when its finished and I can export the entire manuscript). Particularly words that are "right" but not the correct word. Basically, if spell check and Grammarly don't catch them then I probably won't either. I have a BS in Medical Biology but can't spell to save my life! 3rd graders are better spellers than I am sadly... again thank you for pointing them all out though! I greatly appreciate the assistance and the knowledge that someone is reading.

Yep, it happens to the best of us.. There are some mistakes even in large published novels made by big authors and edited by professionals. However, I quite enjoy reading and I also enjoy finding things that I can point out to be fixed, so I am going to keep doing this. This book is very interesting so far, keep it up! I can't wait to see what happens next!

And you have better spelling than I did in third grade. I still have an attempted book that I tried to write in fourth grade (it was basically a copy of a book I had read, but worse and with different names) and the grammar in that thing is atrocious.

lol I know all my stories at that age were about the same plot-wise. Believe it or not I HAVE gotten better over the years and catch at least some of my old mistakes now, so I doubly appreciate the pointers because if I see them enough there is a good chance that it will sink in eventually and I'll stop making those same mistakes over and over. (Though commas will always be my bane, some I just miss or add on accident, and some I just downright don't agree with the laws of grammar and how they make it read/sound in my head)
